Last week, Roanoke Valley residents got the opportunity to tour what will be the largest indoor range on the East Coast. It was a impressive site. When completed it will house 7 lanes at 100+ yards, 16 lanes at 25 yards and includes both a private “members only” lounge as well as facilities available for group rental.
The range will offer programmable, wireless turning targetry, extra wide stalls with padded and fold-down benches, temporary storage and even storage lockers for Diamond Members.
Even more impressive are the safety features like high-tech rubberized no-ricochet back stops and intense air filtration. The owners at Safeside Tactical have spared no expense in the effort to provide the safest state-of-the-art range facility.
And the best news of all is there will be range time for calibers all the way up to .50 for both rifle and pistol and even Black Powder.
In an era when business has abandoned much of the real estate in urban centers, Safeside Tactical has injected new life into an unused and largely forgotten piece of Roanoke City real estate with this impressive project. The 72,000 square foot building that used to house Noland plumbing in the 1900’s had sat empty as a monument to the economic plight of downtown Roanoke until owner Mitchel Tyler started this project.
Tyler has announced a deal for pre-opening memberships. If you sign up and pay the first month’s membership fee before August 15th, you will get one month free and the $50 registration fee is waived!
Memberships start at just $24.99 per month and family options are available.
